FULL PROJECT DESCRIPTIONS
We have attached the full project descriptions at the end of each project overview. The full project description outlines the project goals, wildlife and wildland concentrations, team activities, logistics, academic credit, program fees and pre-planning information. It is important that you have read the full course description before applying for a project.
The full program description will note the three types of fees associated with each project. First, we require a non-refundable Application Fee when you enroll. After you are accepted, you will be asked to pay the remaining Program Fee to secure your space in the program by the fee due date. The Program Fee covers academic tuition only. We also have an ‘in-country’ fee for our programs which covers costs incurred on-site such as transportation, accommodation, permits, and camping. This fee will be paid about 12 weeks prior to the start date of each program. Each participant is also responsible for your own flight costs, outdoor equipment and other personal expenses.
Our enrollment form asks for essential contact information, emergency contact information, and passport details. Please have these ready when you apply. Our enrollment process also requires a brief 500 word essay (1 page) from you.
In your essay, please state:
- why you want to join this project
- what you expect to learn
- the attributes, abilities, interests you have to share with team members
- how this project fit into your academic/career goals
- a brief description of yourself including likes and dislikes
